The beginners guide to PUBG

How to get more frames.
This is the first Section of my guide and yet one of the most important parts.

When your first load up pubg it can be difficult to on where to start, I recommend that before you even think about joining a game you make sure that your settings are optimal to achieve the best fps available for your hardware.

In the Section I will cover,
The requirements for the game,
What settings to use for better performance and a nicer look of the game.
Customizing your controls and sensitivity.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The requirements for the game.

According to the home page for pubg here is the minimum requirements.

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 30 GB available space

Now ofc I myself do not have these specifications but I imagine that these will not achieve a high fps, probably a very low fps.

Using PcGamer I found this information.

According to PcGamer they recommend these

OS: 64-bit Windows 10
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5-1600 / Intel Core i5-7600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or better
(DirectX, Internet connection and storage requirements don't change)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to get more fps,

Now ofc the most obvious way to get more fps in pubg is turning down the Graphics options located in the settings, this will increase the performance by a lot.

Another way is turning down the resolution but this can make the game look terrible.

Here is a list on how to get more fps in pubg, I did not spend the time to watch all so I linked two individual not including the LowSpecGamer one, I imagine that they cover roughly the same thing.

The Game ofc is not fully released and will have many more updates that will optimize the game for a better user experience.

If you have a really bad experience then I recommend this guys video.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Getting used the menu.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When first loading up Pubg, you may or may not find it confusing if you, find it confusing or just want to get used to it this section is for you.

Inviting your friends.

In the bottom left of the screen there is a steam friends section, here you can invite your friends to join your lobby. You will only be able to invite them if they are not already in their own lobby ( With other people). If for some reason you still cannot invite them then make sure they are online, or make sure that the little box next to the steam friends tab is yellow with "receive invite".
Another way to invite people that is faster than adding them on steam is just searching their pubg name.

Viewing their stats

Next to their name, you can click the stats button. It doesnt make any difference if they are on of offline on steam. Using this you can see their stats for different modes such as
Solos, Duos, Squads, Solos FPP, Duos FPP and Squads FPP. They are different for every country eg, if somebody has a 2kd on Eu Solos, that will not carry across To Na Solos.

Using the stats tab you can view how many kills they have how rounds etc, this can tell you how good they are, you can also check to see their place in the leaderboard.
You can also check your own stats using the top right.

Bp Coins and Weekly crates.

Every game you play you will receive a certain amount of BP (BattlePoints). That you can use to Change the look of your Character, which costs 3'000 BP or you Can Unlock weekly crates unlocking weekly crates gives you either Surviver crate or Wanderer crate.

The weekly crates will Increase in price every time you buy one. E.g. The first time you buy a weekly crate it may cost you 700, then 1,400 etc.

The Wanderer and Surviver crates will give completely different item.

Normally the amount of BP you receive will depend on What place you finish How many kills (15BP each) And Hit points.

Your inventory.

Once you have opened a few crates you will receive item that you can wear on your character. Normally the worse items have a higher chance to receive from crates.

Sometimes it's worth selling more expensive items, on the steam market as they can grant a large sum of money.

If you right click on your character you can sell your items for BP coins.

How to start a Game.

For the Lobby Host: To start a game you must hover over the Ready button at the top left, and select what made you wish to play on and what region. You can also click custom match, which are servers hosted by the community. You can see who has and isnt ready by going to the steam friends tab.

As a joined player. All you must do is click ready, once everybody has clicked ready the game will start.

The Lobby.
Info on this section.

The is a very short section that you dont need to read but may help you understand how to lobby.

Loading into the lobby for the first time.

When loading into the lobby for the first time this is your time to change your graphics settings etc.
Ofc the performance will increase as soon as you have joined the game.

How do they have gun?

When you spawn in there are a few tables, around 20 that contain most guns, if not all guns in the game. If you find your self lucky in picking one up then you can get a feel for that gun.

Being in the plane, and where to jump.
What this sections about.

This section is about being in the plane and where you should jump.

Plane time.

So your in the plane, I recommend that you press Right CTRL and M at the same time this will mute your game and make it easier for your teammates to hear you speaking and you to hear them.

If you press CTRL Y you can change your voice channel this helps if people are screaming down the mic. I recommend that when you land you make it so all people can hear you (ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT SPEAKING TO YOUR TEAMMATES INGAME). Because some people mess up and speak where other people can here them and then you know other people are nearby.

Where to Jump.

So your ready to Jump Your excited? Well you dont want to die right away. So whatever you do DONT jump right away, this is what most new players do and this is the easiest way to die. This is not the worst the to do once you have gotten used to the game. I recommend that you look on your map. And see which way the plane is going.

It is best to jump Halfway through the plane journey or near the end. But make sure you get yourself a good place to loot. You should jump at one of these places,

Pochinki, Rozhok, Bunkers, Mansion, apartments, or any other town that is halfway through the map or near the end.

There are other guides available on where to jump.

Do not Jump at Military base, the Power Plant or School For your first game.

What to do when you first land / How the gas works.
What this section's about.

This section will tell you what to do when you first land and how the gas works.

What to do when you land.

When you first land you have no clue what to do. You should head for the nearest building that doesnt have any enemies in. Make sure to loot that building fully, if you find a gun the next section contains what guns are best. And what ammo they take.

What you want. You need to grab the highest level backpack, helmet and body armour.
Level 1 is the worst level 3 is the best.

Try and loot as many building's as you can.
Make sure to loot all buildings including the tiny little shacks as they all have the chance to contain a good weapon or armour etc.

The gas.

Above the map there is a bar if the little person is grey / slightly see through then you are fine. The further the character is from the block at the end the further you are from the safe zone.

There is a countdown that tells you when the next gas will be.
The blue bar will slowly go across the screen, that is the gas.

The amount of damage that gas does depends on what wave of gas it is. E.g. if its the first gas wave it may not do much damage, but near the end it will kill very fast.
Once the gas reach's the white circle on the MAP then it will do a bit more damage.

How to avoid being in the gas.

If you land in the middle then you will have a higher chance to be in the safe zone, if your character is not grey then check the map. You need to find out if the White circle, safe zone, is North, East, South or West. Then at the top of the screen aim that to the direction you wish to go and run.

Normally it is quite easy to find a car and the more you play the more experienced you will become with finding where the cars spawn. But if you have to run then to auto run press the equals button '='.

Airdrop.
What this section covers.
The section tells you all about airdrops and what can be in them.

Where are they?

Airdrops fall from the planes, you can easily hear the planes. If you cannot hear them then you are, chances are to far away.
They normally spawn after about 5mins I would think and normally get dropped over the center of the safe zone, sometimes the planes can drop two.

Airdrops can even drop in water in that case you should take a boat with you.
They are blue and red box's which have smoke coming out them.

They spawn loot that can only be obtained from airdrops. The loot they spawn is normally really good.

But be careful, because they contain good loot meaning lots of people will go for them.

Heres what spawns in airdrops.

Awm. M24. Groza. Kar. 15x Scope. Adrenaline syringe. M249.

There may be other things that I missed.

How to Kill people
What this section covers.
This section covers tips on how to kill people.

Sensitivity.

When playing Pubg or any fps, Your sensitivity is very important. Make sure that you find a comfortable sensitivity that is not to slow or to fast.
You also need to check your mouse's DPI.

You can if you want look up other peoples sensitivity, but its better to just find your own.

Equipment.

Ofc having a good mouse and a good mousemat is helpful with any fps, as a good mouse increases your accuracy and a larger mouse gives you more room.

Aiming.

The distance that you aim above the enemy is dependent on how far away the enemy is.
If you have a kar this will have less bullet drop than something like a Uzi.

Try to always aim for the head as this will do more damage, make sure you account fo bullet drop.

If though the enemy has a level 3 helmet and you have a pistol you, and they have no armour. Then you should aim for there body as this will do more damage. There are other guides available that cover aiming more.

If your using a sniper or shooting far away then you need to account for bullet drop normally using Page up / Page down you can change your zeroing distance.
On the map one white square is 100meters and 1 Big square is 1kilometer. So if the enemy is 400m away then set your sniper to 400m.

Knocked down.

If your teammate is knocked down then you can revive him.
If your the only one alive or solos then you will instantly die.
If you are knocked down, revived then knocked down again you will bleed out faster.

A good way of telling if anybody is left from the team your fighting. Is if you shoot one of them down then that means there is atleast one more left. If you shoot some one and they instantly die then there is nobody left from there team.

Sometimes its a good idea to bait enemys, that are down because their teammates might come and try and revive them.

10 Left
What this sections about.

This section will help you survive when there is few left.

Finding cover.

You should try and find cover in the final zones. Wether that be a house a shack (Dont go in a wooden Shack) Or just behind a tree they are all good places to hide.

If you cannot find anything suitable then just try and prone in a bush or grass.

If your not in the zone, then, A, try and get there before anybody else to secure a good position or, B, wait and pick people of then move at the last few seconds.

Healing / Gun ready.

If you can make sure you are full health, and that you have healing boost and running boost active.
Also make sure you have the correct attachments on and your gun is ready to shoot at the right mode.

Dont be Cocky.

If you see someone make sure there is nobody else by them, and that you can hide if you start getting shot at. Dont shoot if you dont have to because this gives away your position/

If you see somebody shooting somebody else let them kill the person there shooting before killing them. As that kills of another two players.

Dont move unless you have to.

1 v 1

Try to get higher ground than the enemy.

If he has a close range weapon or you have a sniper get the longer range.

Use your nades, nades are very good for 1v1's because A. They will kill the target. Or B they will make him move.
