PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS FPS Guide

FPS Boost
Best FPS settings

Graphics Options

These are easily the most important settings you'll be changing. Make sure you tweak these first before you mess around with anything else!

Screen Scale: 100-103
Anti-Aliasing: High
Post-Processing: Very Low
Shadows: Very Low
Textures: High
Effects: Very Low
Foliage: Very Low
View Distance: Very Low
V-Sync: Off
Motion Blur: Off
Post-Processing, Shadows, Effects and Foliage simply aren't needed at high settings as they're more for show than anything else. Setting them all to Very Low will save you some serious FPS.

You're probably wondering why View Distance is set to Very Low as well. Setting this to High or above doesn't actually give you a distinct advantage as it only governs how much detail is rendered at a distance, such as foliage and objects. Other players will still be visible at long ranges no matter whether you have this set to Ultra or Very Low.

Anti-Aliasing affects how jagged textures appear on the screen. Setting this to High or above will make everything in general look a bit smoother. You can set this to Medium or below to save a few extra frames, but expect things to appear jankier.

Set your Textures based on how powerful your PC is, but it's nice to keep it on High or Medium so the game doesn't look bad.

Turning V-Sync off will prevent input lag and will ensure you're getting as many frames as possible.

Motion Blur only makes things a little bit prettier and makes action more cinematic. Unfortunately it tanks performance pretty hard, so turn it off to save yourself some FPS.
Gameplay Options

Changing this to Off will stop the game from loading a 3D model of your character when opening up your inventory. It's completey unnecessary, so it's worth turning this off just to boost your inventory loading speeds.

Inventory Character Render: Off
NVIDIA Settings

If you've got an NVIDIA Graphics Card you can gain a slight performance boost by heading into your NVIDIA Control Panel and tweaking a few settings. While this method won't give you enormous FPS gains, it's still worth doing!

Just follow this simple step by step guide:

Click the arrow in the bottom right of your desktop tray to bring up an icon menu. Right click the Nvidia logo (green and black) and select "NVIDIA Control Panel".
Select "Manage 3D Settings" and find "PUBG" or "TslGame" in the drop down menu. If you can't find them, click "Add" and you should find them there.
Set "Maximum pre-rendered frames" to 1.
Set "Monitor Technology" to "G-SYNC" if applicable. Otherwise leave it be.
Set "Power management mode" to "Prefer maximum performance".
Set "Preferred refresh rate" to "Highest Available".
Set "Threaded Optimisation" to "On".
Set "Vertical Sync" to "Use the 3D application setting".
The End
Hopefully you gained an FPS boost, I received 30FPS+ at least which made the game a lot more optimized.
If you're unsure about anything leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Leave a like if this helped and share to others if they are having trouble with FPS. :D
I originally created this guide in 2018, just uploading it again, could be outdated. (I have proof)
